A_1. Did you have the proper
log-in from the webpage?
If you enter the ID and password correctly, the spaces
for entering them will disappear, and a list of servers
that can be remotely connected will appear instead. In
case of shared computers, the names of these companies
will appear. If not, a message will appear saying 'There
is no server currently open' |
|

 |
A_2. Was PCANY properly
implemented for to-be-shared computers?
If not, you will see a message saying 'there is no server
currently open' after you log in from the webpage. To
use PCANY screen control, you must have the to-be-shared
program properly installed with PCANY before you can implement
it. If you want to confirm whether PCANY is being implemented
or not, see if there is a PCANY icon on the work indication
line, or see whether remote.exe is being executed at the
Windows work manager (press Ctrl-Alt-Del buttons simultaneously
on Windows 98, ME and XP. Or press Ctrl-Alt-Del buttons
simultaneously for Windows 2000. Then click on the 'Work
Manager'.) |

 |
A_3. Are the shared computers
connected to the network?
You can use PCANY if the computers are connected to the
network. To see if it is properly connected to the internet,
open the web browser and confirm its connection with http://www.pcany.net/ |
|
| |
 |
A_4. Must the shared computers be turned on?
To-be-shared computers must be turned on if you are to
use PCANY for remote internet access to those computers.
Confirm that their power is turned on. |
|
| |
 |
A_5. Where the shared computers
set on the power-saving mode?
If computers are set on the power-saving mode, the names
of these computers will not show up on the access server
list. Also, if computers have been released from the power-saving
mode, it takes several minutes for PCANY to show the new
access server list. |
